I have a vivid memory from my early childhood, that of holding my grandfather’s hand and walking to our fields in the morning. Having grown up in this kind of a farming environment, I developed a very strong relationship with the land. In my art practice, when I look at the natural, geographic and social environments, I see them within the context of my personal history and the manner in which I have always connected with land. My attempt is to apply the various ideas and emotions behind agricultural activities to explore the relationships forged between human beings and nature.

My interest specially lies in everyday practices that, because of their routine, repetitive nature, become almost mechanical and sometimes invisible, though no less laden with multiple meanings. Through my practice I am interested in applying these routines to explore the many levels of exchanges, interactions, relationships, politics and reactions that affect and contextualize human beings, land and the environment
